We are committed to continually discovering ways to create you fine jewellery that is socially and environmentally better for our world.
We believe that we need to be a part of the change that leads to the solution, otherwise we are part of the problem.
These are some of the new strategies we are implementing.
Coloured gem stone
We are now working together with Moyo Gemstones and their gemstone partners nineteen48 and ANZA Gems.
Moyo Gemstones is an ethical gemstone collaboration born in Tanzania. They are working with female artisanal gem miners of the Umba Valley to assure rubies, sapphires, tourmalines, and garnets are ethical sourced from mine to market.
They work to empower women miners to work safely, mine better, improve financial security, and create stable, equitable markets for fair trade.
We here at Roccabella think this is so incredibly awesome and we want you to be able to be apart of this too! We can find together a one-of-a-kind stone you can feel good about. We can either set these into one of our designs or into a bespoke design for you.
What's behind their name?
Nzuri Moyo means 'beautiful spirit' or 'blessed heart' in Swahili. In Shona, it means 'heart'. Moyo Gemstones represents a new kind of beauty. They are gems from the heart.

Our diamond supply and sourcing
Recycled Diamonds.
All our diamonds are and have always been fully compliant with the Kimberley Process. We only ever deal with ethical and socially responsible suppliers. However we wanted to take this a step further to find a better option. We found the answer we were looking for - recycled goods! Recycled stones were previously in finished goods that were dismantled for the raw materials. By giving diamonds that already exist a new life, we are not extracting anything additional from the earth — ensuring that our recycled diamonds have the most minimal impact possible.

Up-cycling your diamonds and gemstones.
We would love to use any stones you may already have. Be it a stone you have found on your travels to any unworn heirloom jewellery. It is about making you the highest quality jewellery with the minimum environmental and social footprint possible that is also an expression of you.
This makes our jewellery even more empowering not only for you but for everyone involved in creating it for you.
Packaging opt-out
We let you decide if you want our packaging or not. If you choose the packaging opt-out your jewellery will still be safely delivered to you. It will be minimally yet safely wrapped without a jewellery box. A yet to be determined charity will benefit from your great decision.
We also have our awesome travel leather pouches. Hand made in the Netherlands these are available for purchase. This way you can put all your Roccabella jewellery in one place and help the environment at the same time. They are also the perfect travel companion and make a great gift.
