Looking to purchase a white diamond? Here is an industry insider's tip you need to know about.
Diamonds graded G-H usually look colourless when they are set into your ring. The reason for this is the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) grade the colour of a diamond both face up and face down. Often, you can only see this hint of colour face down because the colour usually collects in the tip of the diamond. So once the diamond is set into your ring face up, naturally it looks colourless.
If you are looking for a colourless diamond the G-H colour range usually will look like a DEF diamond but offer great savings and value for money.
So if a colourless diamond is on your list we encourage you to check out some G-H diamonds on your journey and see if you agree with us!
